Dr. Lorrie L Riggs
Dr. Riggs grew up in New Castle, Indiana. She attended Purdue University and received her Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture in 1996. She went on to attend the Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology, and behavior.
Dr. Riggs is a member of the Indiana Veterinary Medical Association, Northeast Indiana Veterinary Medical Association and American Veterinary Medical Association. She is a two-time recipient of the Thurman Poe Humanitarian of the Year Award which she received in 2005 and 2006.
Dr. Riggs is excited to be fulfilling a long-time dream of opening her own practice after 12 years working in the veterinary field. Supporting her in this endeavor are her husband, Brandon, and children, Glenn and Gracie. Dr. Riggs has a menagerie of critters at home as well.
In her spare time Dr. Riggs enjoys church activities, gardening, fishing, golfing, and spending time with her family. She is also a dedicated Purdue sports fan and can be found in the stands cheering on the Boilermakers during football season.
Dr. Riggs is dedicated to her profession and caring for your pets. She will uphold her motto and truly “treat your animals like family.
Jessica has been in the veterinary field for 7 years. She attended Missouri State University and obtained a degree in Biology. Her lifelong desire is to become a Veterinarian. She enjoys nature, hiking, and any other outdoor activities. She also enjoys reading and composition in her spare time. She has many dogs, cats and horses. She is a kind and compassionate young woman that will offer exceptional care for you and your beloved pets.
Breanna has been working with animals since she was a young girl. She has been involved in 4-H showing goats, sheep, hogs, calves and rabbits. Breanna attended International Business College and obtained her Veterinary Technician degree in March of 2013. Breanna enjoys spending time with her fiance, Sam. Together, they raise calves in their spare time. She is also active in her church. She is a pleasant hard working individual that will take wonderful care of our patients. She will offer our patrons quality nursing care and education.
Devan is a high school senior at Adams Central High School. Devan has two dogs, a boxer named Miley and a standard poodle named Louis. She has many years of experience in animal training and handling. She is an active member of 4-H, cheer leading, and dance. Devan is a joy to be around. Her love for both people and animals is clear the minute you meet her. Devan aspires to be a veterinary technician and will be attending the Purdue University Veterinary Technician program in the fall of 2013. Good luck Devan!!
